Position: Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Neurology (TAS) Field – Atlanta South, Savannah GA, Macon GA, Athens GA and Columbus GA Position Summary The TAS is a critical role in our customer model to execute BMS’s aspiration to be the BioPharma delivering impactful engagement with HCPs, driving adoption of new and existing medicines. The primary role is to drive demand for BMS medicines within the portfolio for appropriate patients, engaging HCPs with a differentiated customer experience and providing scientific dialogue aligned with label, leveraging new ways of working and CE^3. Field Based The TAS spends 100 % of time in the field with external customers. Key Responsibilities Promote approved indications of BMS products within the territory to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner. Create demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients. Maintain and grow a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas. Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans. Use available tools such as CE^3 to derive insights and inform call plans; provide feedback on tool usage to leadership. Demonstrate scientific expertise using approved resources; present information to HCPs and ensure medical accuracy. Conduct in‑office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) and discuss product‑related scientific information consistent with label. Organize external speaker programs, selecting approved speakers and facilitating scheduling and logistics. Maintain expertise on emerging data for approved indications. Engage real‑time medical support through Medical on Call to answer unsolicited questions and complex inquiries. Collaborate proactively with other field teams to ensure the best customer experience for HCPs. Share relevant insights and information internally with stakeholders to enable better service. Comply with all laws, regulations, and BMS policies. Required Qualifications & Experience Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years in pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales, medical science liaison, health‑care sales, or nursing. Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to HCPs. Experience building and maintaining strong credibility with key customers and office staff via a customer‑centric mindset. Experience in Immunology required. Strong account management, selling competencies, and proven sales performance track record. Effective cross‑functional teamwork and can‑do attitude. Use digital communication channels (emails, instant messaging, video conferencing) to stay in touch. Competency using CE^3 and other software or CRM tools to manage data and track interactions. Use Medical on Call technology effectively. Keep up to date with technological advancements and changes. Driver Requirement Operator must meet “Qualified Driver” criteria, including: at least 21 years old, a driver’s license in good standing, and a driving risk level deemed acceptable by BMS. Compensation Overview Field – United States – US: $139,230 – $168,714 Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available; final compensation determined by experience.
