Details Work on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry Short Stay unit in a hospital setting Patient population is 50% medical and 50% telemetry, adults only Patient ratios average 4-6:1 (estimates, not guaranteed) Night shift schedule, 4x12s, 1900-0700 Every other weekend required No call requirements Floating to similar or lower acuity units as needed Standard nursing equipment used on the telemetry unit EMR system is Epic Night shift staff orient on day shift and must be available the entire orientation week Requirements Active RN license eligible for licensure in Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri (Compact accepted) Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required Current NIHSS certification required Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required November 1-April 1 with no declinations accepted Additional Information Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort Function within nursing scope of practice consistent with Missouri Nurse Practice Act and facility guidelines Black scrubs required Candidates should expect to work at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day) Up to 5 days of requested time off per 13-week contract can be automatically approved, with additional time subject to leader approval and make-up requirements Unit manager will interview candidates within 24 hours of offer, with all offers subject to final manager approval Local candidates accepted at a reduced bill rate American Traveler Job ID P-737540.
