About the Role:

The Line Cook plays a critical role in the kitchen by preparing and cooking food items according to established recipes and quality standards. This position ensures that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet the restaurant's expectations for taste, presentation, and timeliness. The Line Cook works closely with other kitchen staff to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace, contributing to a smooth service flow. Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure are essential, as the role involves managing multiple orders simultaneously during busy periods. Ultimately, the Line Cook helps create a positive dining experience for guests by delivering consistently high-quality meals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Culinary school training or certification.
• Experience with specific cuisine types relevant to the restaurant.
• Food Handler’s Permit or ServSafe certification.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, and ovens proficiently.
• Experience working in a high-volume restaurant setting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstations and equipment.
• Ensure all food is stored properly and adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen team members to coordinate meal preparation and timely delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries as needed.
• Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

The Line Cook utilizes culinary skills daily to prepare and cook a variety of dishes accurately and efficiently.
