Job Description

As a Security Officer Healthcare Patrol in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide compassionate customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond professionally to concerns, and contribute to a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation with Allied Universal.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time Tue 06:00 PM - 02:30 AM Wed 06:00 PM - 02:30 AM Fri 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM Sat 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access control procedures, and directions to support an orderly environment.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Have at least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
