Senior HVAC Service Technician

Serve as the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined commercial market Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in commercial environments Perform end-to-end testing, download programming, start up, commission, and service assigned projects Serve as direct customer contact and identify, examine, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems at customer locations Coordinate with team leader/project manager and customers to understand requirements for on-site installations and repairs Forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work Use software, technology, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets Record asset use, wear, and condition Mentor team members Maintain flexibility to work overtime and occasional overnight stays as business requires Service St. Lawrence and Franklin Counties primarily Work with internal and external partners on new facility setups and existing facility retrofits Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent, or certificate of completion from an accredited technical school required Typically requires at least 10 plus years of experience in HVAC Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software Working proficiency with a handheld computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad) Valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 12 months No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years EPA Certification preferred (e.g. HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer) Technical School or formal training preferred Ability to work overtime and weeks as the business requires, including occasional overnight stays Safety Sensitive role may require passing additional drug screening Core Competencies Demonstrates extensive experience in HVAC systems, including commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair in commercial environments. Proficient in using technology and tools for diagnostics and repairs while ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.
