Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical conditions and needs related to musculoskeletal injuries and disorders.
• Develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices that address both immediate rehabilitation and long-term recovery goals.
• Implement hands-on therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, and pain management techniques tailored to each patient's condition.
• Educate patients and their families about at-home exercise regimens, self-care strategies, and lifestyle modifications that promote recovery and enhance overall well-being.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare providers to monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans as needed, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient assessments, treatment sessions, and progress notes in line with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Stay informed on the latest rehabilitation trends and practices to continually incorporate advancements into therapeutic approaches and improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on treating patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. Each patient presents a unique set of challenges, requiring the physical therapist to adapt strategies to best meet individual rehabilitation needs. Your ability to establish rapport and trust with patients will be essential in creating a conducive environment for recovery.

Qualifications

• Hold a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Possess an active state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• At least 3 years of relevant clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy, which may include internships and residency training.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise, and modalities aimed at pain relief and functional improvement.
• Solid understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy and pathology, along with the latest rehabilitation practices.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for educating patients and collaborating with team members.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with diverse populations, including athletes, post-surgical patients, and individuals with chronic pain.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure accurate documentation and patient tracking.
• Advanced certifications in specialized rehabilitation techniques would be an asset.

Compensation and Benefits
