Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides urgent and emergency nursing care to patients in a Level 4 Trauma Emergency Room setting, ensuring rapid assessment, intervention, and stabilization of a diverse patient population. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on acuity and clinical needs.
• Administer medications, including IV drips, and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with physicians and mid-level providers to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
• Support the triage process, especially for experienced travelers trained in triage procedures.
• Monitor and operate various medical equipment, including ventilators and cardiac monitors.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with active state licensing.
• Minimum of 2 years of ER and urgent care experience.
• Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS required; TNCC and NRP preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong clinical skills in trauma, behavioral health, and variable diagnoses.
• Comfortable working with diverse patient populations and handling variable drips.
