Base Salary: $125,000 – $140,000

A sophisticated and well-established investment firm is seeking a polished, proactive, and highly organized Legal & Compliance Coordinator / Paralegal to join its New York office. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside senior leadership and gain hands-on exposure to the legal, regulatory, governance, and operational functions that support a leading alternative investment platform.

This role is ideal for a resourceful professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment and enjoys balancing strategic coordination, executive support, and compliance operations. The successful candidate will become a trusted partner to the Legal & Compliance team, helping drive critical initiatives while handling sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Executive & Operational Support

• Serve as a trusted administrative partner to the Legal & Compliance team and senior leadership
• Manage complex calendars, coordinate meetings, and oversee scheduling across multiple stakeholders and time zones
• Arrange domestic and international travel, including detailed itineraries and logistics management
• Prepare expense reports and assist with departmental operations and project coordination
• Support day-to-day team efficiency through meeting preparation, communications, and administrative execution

Compliance & Regulatory Coordination

• Assist with investor and counterparty onboarding, including AML/KYC documentation collection and tracking
• Support ongoing compliance initiatives, monitoring activities, and internal control processes
• Maintain regulatory records, certifications, and compliance databases with precision and accuracy
• Assist with internal audits, recurring reporting obligations, and compliance reviews
• Contribute to process enhancements and operational improvements across the compliance function

Legal Operations & Corporate Governance

• Support legal entity management and corporate governance administration
• Assist with entity formations, annual filings, registrations, and maintenance of corporate records
• Maintain organizational charts, governance materials, and entity databases
• Coordinate document execution and ensure accurate maintenance of legal documentation
• Provide support on corporate secretarial and legal administrative matters

Information Management & Process Improvement

• Organize and maintain legal and compliance documentation, shared drives, and records repositories
• Support document retention policies and records management procedures
• Help streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency across the department
• Ensure materials and information are consistently maintained with exceptional attention to detail
