ACCOUNTING

As the accounting assistant, one would be responsible for maintaining financial records, running reports, and recording a wide range of transactions. Their duties include providing administrative assistance to our controller as well as preparing statements that confirm the accuracy of database information.ResponsibilitiesProvide accounting and clerical support to the accounting departmentType accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and recordsgeneral ledger postings and statementsReconcile accounts in a timely mannerDaily enter key data of financial transactions in databaseProvide assistance and support to company personnelResearch, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepanciesInform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areasFunction in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable lawsConstantly update job knowledgeComplete any other task requested by the controllerRequirements and skillsProven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk, or other accounting position.Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting proceduresCompetency in MS Office, databases and accounting softwareHands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reportsAccuracy and attention to detailAptitude for numbersAbility to perform filing and record keeping tasksData entry and word processing skillsWell organizedHigh school degreeAssociate’s degree or relevant certification is a plusBachelor's in accounting highly recommended.Bookkeeping experience preferred.Entry level accounting knowledge preferred.Must have knowledge of basic Microsoft programs.Must have excellent communication skills.Experience in receptionist/clerical duties strongly preferred.Accounting experience strongly preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr Ada Coca Cola Bottling Co Inc
