About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Anesthetist for a 240-day locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania, starting Aug 24, 2026. This role involves providing supervised anesthesia services across all surgeries within a busy 24+ OR environment, handling a diverse range of cases including complete ortho, complex vascular, head/spine, neuro, pediatric, regional, and thoracic, with flexible 5-8s or 4-10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work collaboratively with an anesthesiologist to provide supervised anesthesia care for all surgeries in a busy 24+ operating room environment.
  • Manage a wide range of cases including complete orthopedic, complex vascular, head/spine, neurosurgical, pediatric, regional, and thoracic surgeries.
  • Provide anesthesia for patients of all ages in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Perform specialty skills such as general anesthesia (adult, pediatric, neonatal, trauma), spinal anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, and regional anesthesia.
  • Execute advanced procedures including Central Line placement, Arterial Line placement, and PA Catheter placement.
  • Apply pain management techniques including post-op epidural, post-op extremity blocks, and epidural steroids, utilizing x-ray guidance as needed.
  • Manage ventilation and address acute volume/blood pressure issues effectively.

Additional Information

  • National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) certification required.
  • Experience with Epic EMR system.
  • Credentialing time: approximately 90 days.
  • Work in a Trauma Level 1 facility.
  • Support staff includes Anesthesia Techs and SCAs.
