Role Overview
Hyundai AutoEver America is seeking an experienced SAP Software Manager to lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise business solutions for Hyundai and Kia manufacturing operations. This role will provide leadership to application development teams, collaborate with stakeholders across North America and Korea HQ, and ensure the successful delivery of SAP and enterprise application initiatives.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise, people leadership experience, and project management skills to drive innovation, improve business processes, and support critical manufacturing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage application development teams responsible for enterprise business solutions and SAP-related projects.
• Work closely with team leads to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time and within scope.
• Develop project plans, resource allocations, and realistic timelines while ensuring successful project execution.
• Monitor project status, risks, issues, and dependencies while providing regular updates to management and stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary liaison between U.S.-based business teams, offshore development teams, and Korea HQ.
• Provide technical leadership during client meetings, ERP functional team discussions, and project reviews.
• Drive system enhancements, application modernization initiatives, and process improvement efforts.
• Ensure adherence to IT governance, change management, compliance, and audit requirements.
• Oversee the development and support of SAP, web applications, business intelligence, and enterprise solutions.
• Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop team members while fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
• Manage employee performance, career development, staffing needs, and resource planning.
• Resolve technical and operational challenges while ensuring effective communication across all organizational levels.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that support future business needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• 5+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
• 3+ years of management or leadership experience leading technical teams.
• Experience delivering large-scale enterprise application development projects.
• Experience working in software development lifecycle (SDLC) environments.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams, project timelines, and stakeholder expectations.

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in SAP ABAP development.
• Working knowledge of SAP BW/BSP development tools.
• Strong SQL development and database experience.
• Understanding of SAP Portal technologies.
• Knowledge of software architecture, design, and enterprise application development.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Leadership Skills

• Proven ability to manage and develop teams.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience providing technical direction and mentoring development teams.

Nice-to-Have Requirements

• Experience designing and developing OLAP solutions.
• Web development experience.
• Knowledge of Java and modern web application frameworks.
• Experience working within manufacturing or automotive environments.
• SAP project implementation experience.
• Project management experience and/or certification.
• Experience managing offshore development teams.
• Business intelligence and analytics experience.
• Strong product management and program management background.
