Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is responsible for meeting production goals, implementing process improvement activities & sophisticated Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma techniques to maximize profits, quality and on-time delivery within our Repair Center and New Production Line. This position reports directly to the PDS Director of Operations. Job Responsibilites Directly supervise production employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating employee performance and setting development goals; coaching employees; rewarding and disciplining employees; setting and adjusting employee pay; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ensures production requirements are met; work with subordinate supervisors to address problems. Synchronizes labor to complete as much work as possible within timeframes. Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. Maintains time and production records; records and tracks employee attendance. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or employees. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists employees in solving work problems. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals. Recommends suggestions to improve the quality of product being produced. Participate in regular staff meetings. Prepare and meet forecasted product delivery commitments Environmental, health and safety compliance Ensure requirements of customers are met, reducing costs and ensuring on-time delivery Establish metrics to improve efficiency, effectiveness and communication, moving organization toward operational excellence Job Qualifications BA or BS degree required: Business, Engineering or related field Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs.
