divh2Maintenance Assistant/h2pThe primary role of the Maintenance Assistant is to maintain the facility grounds, and building in a safe and efficient manner. This position will also repair faulty and broken equipment. The role requires on-call duties./ph3Responsibilities:/h3ulliDoes snow removal and sanding./liliMaintains interior and exterior walls, steps, porches, floors and ceilings throughout facility including patching and painting./liliDoes repair work on wheelchairs, beds, furniture, dryers, air conditioning units, refrigerators, freezers, floors, and ceilings./liliMaintains and cleans all roof top fans and gutters./liliPerforms preventive maintenance on all equipment./liliPerforms basic electrical tasks such as replacing outlets, light fixtures, light switches, and ballasts./liliPerforms basic plumbing tasks such as replacing faucets, faucet washers, wax rings for toilets, and repairing waste lines./liliMaintains, cleans and stores all hand and power tools./liliMust be on emergency call or as a needed basis./liliStrip/wax/buff floors and related tasks./liliMoves equipment and furniture./liliFollows all established safety procedures/ precautions when operating tools and equipment./liliAll other related duties as assigned/li/ulh3Qualifications:/h3pA minimum of one year experience in maintenance work, required./ppMust be able to complete multiple tasks and projects and work with all disciplines in a challenging multi-cultural environment./ppMust be organized, energetic, and motivated./ppMust possess good written and verbal communication skills./ppMust be able to speak and write the English language./ph3Compensation Benefits/h3pTop Health Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, and so much more available through 1199 Union Benefits/ppPaid Holidays including newly added Juneteenth/ppExcellent growth and advancement opportunities./p/div
