Human Resources Manager

This is an onsite position in Buffalo, NY. No relocation, preference to local candidates.
The HR Manager will lead all core HR operations, compliance, and employee relations while ensuring smooth coordination with an external PEO partner. It supports managers and employees across all shifts, drives consistent and compliant HR practices, and manages full‑cycle recruitment to maintain a stable, engaged workforce.
• Serve as the primary internal HR lead, partnering with an external PEO for payroll, benefits, compliance administration, and HR/employment law guidance.
• Ensure seamless coordination between internal operations and the external HR partner.
• Own and optimize internal HR workflows to ensure they are efficient, compliant, and scalable.
• Maintain accurate employee records, reporting, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Partner with the CFO on risk mitigation, audits, and required reporting.
• Maintain and evolve policies, SOPs, and the employee handbook in collaboration with the external HR partner.
• Proactively identify and address compliance gaps as the organization grows.
• Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues across all shifts and locations.
• Conduct investigations, document outcomes, and ensure consistent application of policies.
• Coach managers and supervisors to effectively address employee issues directly.
• Own and execute full‑cycle recruitment for hourly and select salaried roles, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and ensuring a consistent, efficient hiring process.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in HR in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
