EVS Associate

Primary City/State: Brush, Colorado Department: Environmental Services – Hospital Shift: Day (32 hours per week, 8‑hour shifts 8:30 am‑5 pm) Position Summary This full‑time environmental service (EVS) position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, staff areas, and common spaces to maintain a safe, hygienic environment for patients, visitors, and employees. Core Functions Perform dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming, and polishing tasks per departmental policy. Empty hampers, soiled linen containers, trash receptacles, and medical waste containers, including sharps. Inventory, restock, and replenish supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels, and hand soap in all assigned areas. Maintain cleanliness of departmental equipment, report needed repairs, and properly log equipment usage. Execute special projects such as window washing, wall washing, and removal of heavily soiled items. Respond to requests from patients, staff, and visitors; meet or exceed customer‑service goals. Work independently and as part of the EVS team, following directions and reporting progress to supervisors. Minimum Qualifications Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team without constant supervision. Read, interpret, and respond to verbal and written instructions. Communicate effectively via phone and in‑person conversations. Read and understand material safety data sheets; correctly mix and use cleaning chemicals; fill out chemical identification stickers. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in environmental services, including familiarity with equipment and cleaning techniques. Additional related education or experience. Pay Estimated Pay Range: $16.00 – $24.00 per hour.
