- # Campus Visitation — Discover GCU Host (NFWS)Applylocations: AZ Phoenixtime type: Part timeposted on: Posted 6 Days Agojob requisition id: R000066864**Position Summary/Purpose:** The purpose of this role is to serve as an ambassador (organizationally & relationally) to prospective students who attend the overnight, expenses-paid-for, Discover GCU trip. This includes weekly event operations, presenting trained information, sharing of personal and positive GCU experiences, and providing a positive and safe environment for guests.**Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:*** Support and promote GCU’s Doctrinal Statement.* Execute weekly event operations, procedures, policies, and protocols with absolute excellence.* Present on trained information to groups of guests.* Provide positive and safe experience for guests.* Ensure inventory is adequate per each event.* Ensure rooms are adequately cleaned and prepared for events.* Additional Tasks as assigned.**Equipment Used and Responsibility:*** Microsoft 365 Suite* Point of Sales (POS) systems* SkyTouch* Group Me**Qualifications:*** *Must be available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week and have open availability to consistently work weekends** Experience with youth, preferably in a camp environment.* Flexibility and enthusiasm is a must.* Excellent oral and written communication skills.* Outgoing and comfortable with public speaking in front of various groups.* Campus living and extracurricular activities within GCU strongly preferred to be able to provide first-hand experience to visitors.**Experience/Education:**Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:* Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program.* Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student.* Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.*You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.*Pay Rate: Minimum Wage Anticipated End Date: June 30, 2027
