Restoration Field Assistant Project Manager Position: Restoration Field Assistant Project Manager Location: Manhattan, NY Tiello is actively seeking a Field Assistant Project Manager to support the day-to-day management of façade restoration and waterproofing projects throughout New York City. This is a field-oriented, hybrid role that bridges office-level project coordination with hands‑on site involvement — ideal for a construction professional looking to grow into full project management within the building envelope and restoration space. The Field APM will work alongside senior Project Managers and Superintendents to help deliver complex exterior restoration scopes on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. Projects typically involve Local Law 11 / FISP compliance work, waterproofing system installations, masonry and concrete restoration, sealant and joint replacement, and related building envelope repairs. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Project Manager in the full lifecycle management of façade restoration and waterproofing projects, from pre‑construction through closeout Conduct regular site visits to monitor field progress, identify issues, and ensure work is being executed per drawings, specs, and Local Law 11 / FISP requirements Coordinate daily with field crews, foremen, and superintendents to communicate priorities, resolve field conflicts, and keep work on schedule Track and manage project submittals, RFIs, material procurement, and change orders in coordination with the PM Assist in preparing and maintaining project schedules using MS Project or similar scheduling tools Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and façade inspection reports (FISP/LL11 reports, engineering drawings, waterproofing specs) Support daily and weekly reporting including field progress reports, safety logs, manpower tracking, and productivity updates Coordinate scaffolding, swing stage, and aerial lift logistics with field teams and equipment vendors Liaise with building owners, property managers, DOB representatives, and building envelope consultants on project status and technical matters Assist in monitoring project budgets, job cost reports, and labor hours in coordination with the PM and accounting team Facilitate the procurement and delivery of materials including sealants, waterproofing membranes, mortar, concrete repair products, and specialty coatings Help enforce safety compliance on all jobsites, including toolbox talks, incident documentation, and OSHA standard adherence Support project closeout including punch list coordination, as‑built documentation, final inspections, and client sign‑off Qualifications: 2-4 years of experience in construction with direct exposure to façade restoration, waterproofing, masonry repair, or exterior building envelope work Previous experience in a Field Engineer, Assistant PM, Project Coordinator, or Estimator role — or a highly experienced tradesperson/foreman looking to transition into project management Solid understanding of building envelope systems including masonry, concrete, sealants, waterproofing membranes, EIFS, and façade coatings Familiarity with NYC Local Law 11 / FISP façade inspection and repair requirements is a strong plus Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and façade inspection reports Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar project management software preferred Strong communication and organizational skills — able to juggle multiple priorities across active jobsites Self‑starter with the ability to work independently in the field while staying aligned with the PM team Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Ongoing Safety Training & Career Advancement Opportunities Tiello is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
