At Route 516 Animal Hospital, we know it takes a village to care for pets and Veterinary Assistants are the glue that holds it all together. We're looking for a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our crew and bring skill, kindness, and hustle to every exam room, surgery prep, and tail wag.

What you'll do:

• Keeping accurate medical records and helping answer client questions
• Prepping patients for exams and surgeries
• Administering medications as directed
• Assisting with lab testing (blood, fecal, urine, etc.)
• Cleaning and sanitizing surgical tools, kennels, and exam areas
• Monitoring post-op patients and reporting any changes
• Safely restraining patients during exams and procedures
• Helping educate pet parents on meds, treatments, and care
• Partnering with Credentialed Technicians and DVMs to provide top-tier care

Schedule:

• Full-time, Day shift, 8-hour shifts
• Rotating weekends
• No holiday shifts required

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $17 – $25 per hour, based on experience, skills, and credentials. Final pay will be determined during the hiring process.
