The Accounting Manager will manage the accounting team to ensure accuracy in accounting operations, adherence to accounting processes and maintaining a strong internal control environment.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*** Supervise and work directly with Accounts Payable specialist to ensure that accounting responsibilities are being met timely and accurately* Supervise month end closing process* Monthly Forecasting and annual budgeting and related analysis* Monitor collection of sales/use tax and associated filings* Approve weekly pay runs and cash control reconciliations* Collaborate with Key Stakeholders to develop and manage KPIs* Ensures compliance with all accounting policies and processes* Ensures compliance with all government contracting requirements**QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY:*** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred).* Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior accounting or finance role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.* Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.* Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.* High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.* Must be a US person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident/Green Card Holder)**EXPERIENCE:*** Must be a US Person* Broad general knowledge of all accounting/financial functions* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required* Minimum of 5 years of previous accounting/financial experience* Supervisory Experience required* Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP) and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) regulations* Experience with Government Contracts preferred* Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable preferred**PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**Described here are characteristics representative of those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
