BUSINESS OFFICE MANAGER

Business Office Manager Responsible for all aspects of billing and collection for all service lines, maximizing payments and reimbursements, overseeing verifications, billing and follow‑up, negotiating payment plans, maintaining contract files, collaborating on rate renegotiations, and ensuring accurate and timely billing and collection. Full‑time position: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Job Duties and Responsibilities Generate operational reports. Coordinate review of payer audits and contracts. Monitor billing rates for LOC and authorization. Supervise entry of all patient billing for all service lines. Monitor collection calls of +90‑day receivables. Track self‑pay collections. Re‑submit lost claims and correct billing. Oversee electronic billing to Medicaid. Monitor secondary billing. Troubleshoot questions and requests regarding patient bills. Conduct all account adjustments. Complete weekly/monthly Accounts Receivable and Revenue reports; create/maintain daily patient billing accounts and census charts. Monitor cash collection to maximize/meet cash collection goals. Enter patient data in patient database. Ability to interpret insurance or other payer contracts. Professional communication in person and in writing. Prior supervisory skills desired. Understanding of hospital business office policies and procedures and managed care contracts preferred. Knowledge of the CT Medicaid system preferred. Must be computer literate; experience with financial software packages helpful.
