What You'll Do

• Provide comprehensive care in surgical settings, assisting with wound cauterization, vessel management, and suturing
• Assist with patient positioning, hemostasis, and sterile procedures during surgeries
• Help with intraoperative tasks such as applying clamps, sutures, and managing suction and irrigation
• Support medical-surgical floor coverage, including rounding, managing orders, discharges, and consults for adult patients
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare teams in General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Orthopedic units
• Maintain strict adherence to safety and infection control policies
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC charting system

What You Need

• NY State Nurse Practitioner License
• BLS, ACLS, ATLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years recent experience in surgical or acute care settings
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in team environments

• Experience with EPIC charting software
• Prior experience assisting in OR and surgical floor environments
• Strong interpersonal and bedside manner skills
