Payroll Administrator

$18 - $22 per hour

Advanced Personnel Resources is recruiting for a Payroll Clerk/Administrative Assistant professional who has experience with accounting or bookkeeping and at least 6 months of payroll experience. Ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following: Paychex Flex, ADP Workforce Now, and Excel and will also have benefits experience .

General Description:
The Payroll Administrator will process weekly, semi-monthly, and bonus payroll and maintain employee time records.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8 am-5 pm, Friday 8 am until noon, depending on business needs
Pay: $18-22 DOE

Responsibilities:

Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
Assist in accounts receivable tasks as needed to support the finance department.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and reporting requirements.
Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry and processing of payroll information.
Collaborate with HR to manage employee benefits and deductions effectively.
Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation related to payroll processes.
Reconciles payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements.
Issues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Two years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping with at least 6 months of payroll preferred.
Paychex Flex, ADP Workforce Now, and Excel and will also have benefits experience.
