This position will act as a critical part in maintaining our financial accuracy, driving process improvements, and acting as an accounting business partner to support the shared service center and corporate accounting. This position is responsible for the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely results that comply with company guidelines and requirements.What You'll DoTransact general ledger accounting processes supporting corporate accounting and the shared service center, including managing month-end close activities for assigned companiesProactively provide accounting assistance to designated business units and departmentsPrepare account reconciliations and review the company's accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalancesPrepare the reconciliation of various corporate managed areas including but not limited to intercompany, travel & expenses, equity, leases, fixed assets and intangibles; Partner with business units to proactively address and resolve imbalancesAssist with the monthly consolidated close and preparation of the monthly financial reporting packageParticipate in the external reporting process with a focus on footnote and schedule support;Maintain current documentation of procedures and proactively identify opportunities to improve process efficienciesAssist in supporting quarterly reviews and annual audit efforts, including coordination of requests globallyFully leverage IT systems to enhance closing and reporting processes and assist with implementations as neededBecome a super user of the financial reporting and planning tools as well as the company's other ancillary systems, serving as a resource for training and process improvement opportunitiesConduct ad-hoc analysis as requested by managementWhat You'll BringBachelor's degree in accounting or finance4+ years of solid accounting experienceCompetence in the use of Microsoft Office products and experience with ERP applicationsAbility to interact with team members at all levels, including senior management such as Controllers, FP&A, and TreasuryRequires effective oral communication skills, strong written communication and interpersonal skillsA high degree of accuracy, critical thinking, and attention to detail are essential.
