At Smart Start Academy, we're seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Before and After Care teacher to support our students aged 5-12 years, with the opportunity to extend your role into our summer camp program.

• Design and implement engaging activities that spark curiosity and problem-solving skills in our students.
• Develop and lead age-appropriate lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Establish a safe and supportive classroom environment that promotes social, physical, and intellectual growth.
• Develop and execute lesson plans that set high standards for students across various curriculum areas.
• Foster problem-solving skills and critical thinking in our students.
• Create a well-organized and stimulating classroom setting.
• Oversee the safety and educational aspects of our programs.
• Monitor and supervise students during class and outdoor activities.
• Provide a supportive environment for children to learn and practice social skills.
• Maintain open communication with parents, encouraging their involvement and supporting family relationships.
• Adhere to policies and procedures set by the Office of Licensing and DCP&P.

• HS diploma
• Minimum 1 year experience w/ school age children

• CPR and First Aid Training
• CDA, Associates or BA Degree in Early Childhood Education
