Job Description
This role supports a busy manufacturing operation by assisting machine operators with material handling, product preparation, and basic quality checks on 1st shift. You will work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment, helping to keep production running smoothly and safely.
Responsibilities

• Assist machine operators by manually moving materials, including stacking, loading, unloading, and staging products as needed throughout the production process.
• Perform visual inspection of in-process materials to identify defects, damage, or irregularities and escalate issues as required.
• Wrap and unwrap products to prepare them for further processing, storage, or shipment according to production requirements.
• Read and follow production work orders accurately to ensure correct materials, quantities, and processing steps are completed.
• Place tags and labels on finished products to ensure accurate identification, tracking, and inventory control.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work station and surrounding production area to support safety and efficiency.
• Use basic hand tools and equipment safely and correctly to complete daily tasks.
• Support general labor and production activities as assigned, including repetitive lifting and material handling tasks.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working around industrial machinery and overhead cranes.

Work Environment
This role is based in a non-climate controlled manufacturing facility that houses overhead cranes, industrial machinery, and active production lines. The position involves frequent standing, walking, and repetitive lifting, as well as regular use of hand tools and interaction with materials and equipment. The facility emphasizes safe work practices, organized work stations, and adherence to production instructions in a busy, physically demanding environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenfield, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
