Manager

Position Summary Plans, implements, and evaluates activities for facility residents. Designs programs to encourage socialization, provide entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment, and improve daily living skills. May also manage the facility's volunteer program. Ensures activities comply with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the administrator. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Provides leadership in formulating the goals and objectives of the activity’s programs of the facility. Plans, develops, directs, evaluates, and coordinates activities programs supportive of these goals. Develops and trains personnel within the department and reviews and appraises their performance. Responsible for assuring competency of all staff. Directs and coordinates assigned department activities to insure they are efficient, timely, and meet cost and quality objectives; and that all activities and services comply with local, state, federal, and governmental regulations, and laws. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Performs other related duties as required and directed.
