Senior Engineer - Electrical

Senior EngineerThe Senior Engineer will be responsible for delivery and design on multiple projects, directing and leading other design professionals within their discipline, and working with other design disciplines internal and external to PEC to develop engineering solutions for PEC's Clients in accordance with each project's client contract and to the expectations of PEC. This position is expected to manage the discipline project scope, schedule, and cost while also assessing and managing risks and client satisfaction. This position will coordinate and communicate with all appropriate project stakeholders, ensuring deliverables and milestones are on time and within budget.Duties and Responsibilities:Independently negotiate and manage scope throughout planning and execution, making sound technical decisions and demonstrating a thorough understanding of the technical breadth and details of team deliverables with minimal guidance or oversightAnticipate and productively resolve discrepancies between client expectations and contracted scope.Manage discipline scope, cost, and schedule for the planning, execution, and delivery of projects on time and within budget.Develop fee and scope for proposals and, when needed, establish project budgets.Responsible for assembling the discipline team with the approval of each team member's supervisor.Manage the flow of project work for the disciplineManage the application of discipline resources to the projectResponsible for leading and directing team members to complete projects in accordance with quality assurance policies, standards and project specifications.Perform technical and quality control reviews for projects.Direct production and review of engineering plans and drawings.Lead the preparation of project cost estimates and feasibility studiesDirect engineering design, coordinate with other design staff for construction documents and specification production in compliance with building codes, perform construction administration, and develop reports/studiesServe as an advisor to the Project Manager, identify and communicate any potential risk to the project in a timely fashionDirect design computations by hand and by computer softwareUse experience, education, and judgement to make informed decisions. Retain knowledge and build on previous experiences to increase capabilities in breadth and complexityOrganize multiple projects and tasks and complete them in a timely manner, on schedule, and per PEC and client Standards. Oversee tasks that have been delegated to other engineers and support staffEffectively communicate and coordinate with the design team to complete design tasks on numerous projectsLeverage Engineering expertise to teach and mentor other Project Engineers at all levels. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 50% of the work period while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, calculator and similar machines.
