CNC Lathe Operations Technician

About the work
Make precision parts that meet rigorous customer specs while supporting a strong quality and continuous improvement culture.
Core responsibilities
Operate assigned machining equipment (CNC and/or manual) to produce components to print
Interpret blueprints/technical drawings and apply the correct tooling and NC programs to satisfy all requirements
Measure features with calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify tolerances
Record results clearly on the Job Traveler and associated documentation
Log setup and run times, plus other production metrics, in the E-2 reporting system
Track and report setup/production scrap and any rework labor
Assist Internal Auditors during Quality Management System (QMS) audits
Maintain a clean, organized workcell; dispose of chips and excess material properly
Follow company Quality Policies and Objectives; participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Tools & techniques you’ll use
Expendable and permanent tooling selection and application
NC program loading and verification
Precision measurement and in-process inspection
What you bring
Experience with machining operations on CNC and/or manual equipment
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings confidently
Comfort with precision measuring instruments
Basic computer skills for production reporting systems (E-2 preferred)
Detail orientation, quality focus, and safe work practices
Team mindset and willingness to support audits and process improvement
