Endodontic Dental Assistant

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking an Endodontic Dental Assistant to work at a facility in Manhattan, NY.

Pay Rate: $35 / hour

Duties: Job Summary As an Endodontic Dental Assistant you will play a critical role in root canal and related treatments by preparing treatment rooms, assisting the endodontist during procedures, supporting patient care, and handling related administrative responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control.
• Assist the endodontist during root canal and related procedures, including suction, irrigation, and passing instruments.
• Take and process dental radiographs/CBCT scans, review patient histories, and document treatment notes accurately.
• Educate and support patients before, during and after procedures, including clear post-op instructions.
• Coordinate with front office on scheduling, referrals, and follow-up communication with patients and referring to dentists.
• Manage supplies and equipment, including inventory ordering and upkeep of endodontic materials.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and safety regulations while fostering a positive, team-oriented environment.

Skills: Required Skills & Experience: -See education section for requirements. -Experience as an Endodontics Assistant.

Preferred Skills & Experience: Familiarity with dental software and charting systems.

Education: Required Education: Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program. OR One year of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant.

Required Certifications & Licensure: 1-2 years experience (NYS)
