We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing team. You will prepare tax returns across a variety of entity types, support senior staff and partners on client engagements, develop your technical tax skills, and build the foundation for a long-term career in public accounting. Perform monthly bank reconciliations. Prepare month-end closing journal entries. Maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts. Prepare monthly financial statement package. Provide analysis of expense accounts. Assist in annual budget preparation. Post monthly budget reports for department managers after evaluating financial performance by comparing actual results vs budget/forecast. Maintain fixed asset system, which includes reconciliation of general ledger to fixed asset system, preparation of depreciation schedules, and monthly recording of depreciation. Research and answer basic accounting inquiries. Provide support for accounts payable & accounts receivable activities, as needed. Prepare daily cash report when needed. What You Bring: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field 2+ years of accounting experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Microsoft 365 Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a desire to learn Bonus Points: Experience in a public accounting or CPA firm environment QuickBooks experience CCH Axcess experience CPA candidate status Interested in hearing more?
