Senior Accountant

Description Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting toensureaccurate financial reporting, supportoperational accounting activities, and maintainstrong internal controls within a manufacturing or process-driven environment. This role partners closely with operations leadership to analyze costs, improve financial visibility, and support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations Perform variance analysis on production costs, labor, inventory, and operational expenses Support cost accounting, inventory accounting, and fixed asset reconciliations Partner with operations teams to analyze cost drivers and efficiency metrics Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes Support external audits and compliance requirements Assist with inventory valuation and tracking processes Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 3–6+ years of accounting experience; manufacturing experience preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills CPA or CPA candidate preferred Preferred Experience Manufacturing, agribusiness, or process industry experience Cost accounting and inventory accounting exposure Familiarity with commodity-based accounting and operational reporting Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to communicate financial insights to non-finance teams Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines Continuous improvement mindset #J-18808-Ljbffr
