Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team, specializing in Orthopedic Surgery. This role involves providing high-quality patient care and assistance during various surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions pre-, intra-, and post-operatively.
• Assist surgeons during orthopedic surgical procedures, including total joints, hand, foot, ankle, spine surgeries, and neuro spine operations.
• Utilize MAKO Robot Technology and manage all types of spine surgeries, from simple to complex cases.
• Provide care for patients presenting with arthritis, chronic pain, limb injuries, and infections.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimum patient outcomes.
• Participate in floating between Swedish MAIN Surgery and Swedish South Tower Surgery as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an Operating Room setting.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Eligible candidates must have been separated from any other Providence facility for at least 3 months.
• Active compact license recognized by all Swedish facilities.

Work Schedule

This position requires a 4x10 day shift schedule, with expected call requirements of 3 shifts every 6 weeks. Please note that this may change based on operational needs.

Patient Population

• 20-25% Inpatient care
• 75-80% Outpatient care
• 5% Pediatrics care

Procedural Focus

The Operating Room specializes in a comprehensive range of orthopedic procedures, including:

• All total joint procedures
• Hand, foot, and ankle surgeries
• Spine surgeries
• Robotic-assisted surgeries
