Job Title: Financial Analyst I
Location: Houston, TX Job Summary:
We are hiring a Financial Analyst I to support the Program Accounting team. This role focuses on preparing monthly network payments and accruals, performing reconciliations, and delivering financial analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of managing workload independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of managing workload independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and reconcile monthly network payments and accruals
- Track and analyze financial metrics to identify process improvements and cost efficiencies
- Work with large datasets using database and querying tools to generate reports and analytics
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Analyze financial performance and identify risks and opportunities
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Investigate and explain variances vs. budget and forecast
- Prepare and review journal entries during month-end and year-end close
- Support financial close processes ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial statements
- Analyze invoices and accruals; identify and resolve discrepancies
- Participate in process improvement and standardization initiatives
- Review audits and streamline research, tracking, and analysis processes
- Handle ad hoc financial analysis and reporting tasks as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS , or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3 years of relevant experience (industry or public accounting preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with large datasets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong knowledge of Essbase and Oracle
- Experience with database tools such as Teradata, SQL, Microsoft Visual Studio
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel , along with Word and Outlook
- Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, or variable schedules as required
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and attention to detail
- Strong commitment to accuracy, deadlines, and continuous improvement
