Collections Specialist

The Direct Hire Division of Consilio, LLC is working with a highly regarded law firm that is seeking to hire a Billing & Collections Specialist to join their San Francisco office. This position is not with Consilio directly; it is a direct hire, permanent opportunity with the law firm. About the Role Seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Billing & Collections Specialist in a hybrid role in San Francisco. This role is critical in ensuring accurate billing, efficient electronic submissions, and timely collections. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience with e‑billing systems preferably in a legal environment. Responsibilities Review and maintain billing memos on a monthly basis Analyze time and expense entries for narrative corrections, transfers, and general maintenance Finalize and prepare invoices with a high level of accuracy Develop and maintain familiarity with legal terminology processes, and the nature of work across assigned matters Communicate regularly with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff to resolve billing‑related issues Ensure compliance with client‑specific billing requirements and guidelines Prepare and submit LEDES files to clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to client billing guidelines Review billing files thoroughly prior to submission and coordinate follow‑ups with clients, partners, and assistants as needed Manage and resolve e‑billing issues across assigned accounts Manage full collections cycle Prepare and distribute inventory emails and reports on outstanding accounts Monitor e‑billing systems for payment updates and reporting needs Qualifications 3+ years of experience in billing and collections in a legal environment Strong knowledge of e‑billing processes and systems (E‑Billing Hub) Experience with Elite is strongly preferred Advanced Excel skills Consilio, LLC is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability, or any other legally protected status. #J-18808-Ljbffr
