You'll often be the first clinical touchpoint for families, coordinating care, and ensuring each visit feels seamless. Schedule: 24-28 hours per week with rotating Saturdays Rotating Saturdays Ability to work late shifts Clinic Hours Lake Shore Pediatrics - Barrington Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:30am-5:00pm Tuesday, 8:30am-6:00pm Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm Lake Shore Pediatrics - Libertyville Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 8:30am-5:00pm Wednesday, Thursday: 8:30am-6:00pm Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm If interested - Pick up additional evening and weekend shifts at our Pediatric Immediate Care (PIC) locations in Bannockburn, Libertyville, Schaumburg, and Wheaton and earn a shift differential on top of your base rate! Locations: Lake Shore Pediatrics - Barrington 27750 West Highway 22, Suite 150 Barrington, IL 60010 Lake Shore Pediatrics - Libertyville 1800 Hollister Drive Suite 220 Libertyville, IL 60048 General Summary: The Medical Assistant supports the provider in many aspects of the office encounter. Works under the supervision of the Practice Manager. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Performs vitals, rooms patients and gathers specimens. Documents necessary information in the EMR. Collects specimens, performs in-office lab testing and prepares specimens for outside labs. Assists with in-office patient procedures per protocol and training. Contributes to the daily upkeep of office space and equipment. Demonstrates and supports PediaTrust Core Values. Additional Job Functions: Performs cleaning and disinfection of instruments and equipment based on practice protocol. Performs digital health workflows and initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job duty satisfactorily. Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Minimum High School Diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) Excellent organization and communication skills Strong knowledge and level of comfort with EPIC or other EMR system preferred Required Length & Type of Experience: One year of experience in a clinical environment Computer literacy Required Certification, Licenses, Registration: CPR certification Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred Physical/Environmental Demands: Some travel required Bending and Lifting Walking Exposure to infectious disease Exposure to biohazards and other hazardous materials Who We Are We're Different PediaTrust is a united group of pediatric practices that serve Chicago-area families.
