New Graduate RN Nurse Sponsorship via OPT

We are excited to help you launch your career among HCA Hospitals in Kansas City. We provide sponsorship (EB3 Visa) to international students who meet the qualifications. Eligible Units Med Surg, Cardiac, Telemetry, Orthos, Rehabs, Psychiatric, Transplant, Oncology, Step Down Units We do NOT sponsor for ICUs, EDs, Women's, OR, NICUs, or Peds. Eligibility Criteria You must be an international student not local to the US and not graduate recently from a Nursing program. If you do not meet these sponsorship qualifications, do not apply. Must have an OPT that can be active upon graduation and start working close to the active date of OPT. Must be willing to continue education using Day One CPT program (we recommend programs such as one in Kansas City for MSN). You must attend the CPT program only (hybrid online). Must have an education from the United States and already be living in the United States to be considered. You may apply and interview for a Graduate Nurse role and relocate to Kansas City (if needed) 6 months in advance. Application Process Complete this one application and a recruiter will schedule a call to conduct an initial interview discussing your top areas of interest and hospital preference. Positions and Advancement Positions for sponsorship are limited to specific departments to get started. Opportunities for advancement to specialty units are available after 1 year of working with us. Shift Availability Full-time day and night shift only on Medical Surgical, Telemetry, Cardiac & Progressive Care Units. $5,000 relocation bonus offered for those more than 50 miles from our hospitals. Hospital Locations Hospitals providing sponsorship at this time include: Belton Regional Medical Center, Centerpoint Medical Center, Lee's Summit Medical Center, Menorah Medical Center, Research Medical Center, and Research Psychiatric Center. We reserve the right to limit where we provide sponsorship and which units based on our needs upon application. Training The HCA Nurse Residency Program is a year‑long program designed to give you hands‑on experience to help establish valuable clinical and critical thinking skills. As a resident (Graduate Nurse) you will be surrounded by a supportive community of nurse educators, experienced nurses, and fellow residents that promote learning, clinical application, and socialization, shepherding you through the transition from student nurse to registered nurse. Job Summary and Qualifications The HCA Nurse Residency Program at HCA Healthcare provides you with the tools necessary to succeed in today’s hospital environment. This paid program will assist you with the transition out of the classroom setting through a formalized series of learning experiences, including: Advanced clinical training in a specialty area. Monthly educational sessions. Preceptorship training with a facility preceptor. Measurement and evaluation of skills through hands‑on simulations. Mentoring from experienced nurse leaders. Working collaboratively on an evidence‑based practice project. The RN Resident coordinates and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN Resident provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN Resident serves as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers to support an unparalleled patient experience. Responsibilities Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner. Perform the administration of prescribed medications. Monitor patient for therapeutic response. Notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response to medication. Perform exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strive to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively. Teach patients, families, and caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow‑up measures. Translate complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding. Qualifications Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment Other certifications may be required during employment Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Registered Nurse license or Graduate Nurse in the state No previous experience needed Some travel may be needed for training HCA Healthcare has been recognized as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies by the Ethisphere Institute more than ten times.
