Staff Accountant

Salary: USD35 - USD40 per hour A professional services firm in Florida is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their growing team in Miami, supporting general accounting operations and month-end close activities. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to accurate financial reporting, process improvement, and compliance with US GAAP. About the Opportunity Shift: Day shift Schedule: Monday through Friday Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Setting: On-site Responsibilities Support general accounting activities, including fixed assets, leases, inventory, accruals, and allocations Prepare accounting transactions and maintain supporting records with accuracy and compliance Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations Help maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls aligned with US GAAP Support audits, process optimization, workflow automation, and cross-functional collaboration with key business partners Qualifications 1+ years of Accounting experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Public Accounting and/or Public Company experience Strong knowledge of US GAAP Excellent written and oral communication skills Desired Skills Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance Experience in the real estate and/or construction industry Experience working in a SOX-compliant environment Familiarity with process improvement frameworks such as Lean or Six Sigma Experience with digital record-to-report tools, ERP systems, and analytics platforms such as JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Essbase, Hyperion, BlackLine, Power BI, Alteryx, Copilot, or Claude #J-18808-Ljbffr Tandym-Group
