A travel pharmacist opportunity is available in a 75-bed hospital offering a dynamic inpatient pharmacy setting. This role provides a valuable chance to manage multiple responsibilities within a central pharmacy environment, supporting both inpatient and outpatient care.

Location: Medford, WI
Type: Travel
Contract Duration: 13 weeks +
Schedule:

• Primarily 10-hour day shifts
• Rotating weekends involve 8-hour shifts

Responsibilities:

• Verify EPIC medication orders and ensure accuracy in pharmacy operations
• Oversee and check technician work while responding to pharmacist inquiries
• Prepare and provide inpatient and outpatient intravenous medications, unit dose meds, and chemotherapy treatments
• Manage pharmacy services for various departments including Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, emergency department, outpatient oncology, and surgeries
• Handle pharmacy tasks with an inpatient census averaging 30-40 patients

Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist with hospital pharmacy experience
• Familiarity with EPIC pharmacy system
• Skilled in managing multiple pharmacy functions simultaneously
• Experience in preparing chemo, IV medications, and unit dose dosing preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends on rotation
