Billing ManagerA leading law firm is seeking a Billing Manager for its Los Angeles office. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing the firm's billing and eBilling operations, including team management, workload allocation, and day-to-day execution. The Billing Manager supervises a team of Billing Coordinators, manages the full billing cycle from prebills through invoice delivery, and serves as the primary escalation point for billing issues, eBilling rejections, and attorney or client inquiries. Additional responsibilities include driving process improvements, ensuring compliance with outside counsel guidelines and alternative fee arrangements, tracking billing metrics, and partnering with IT on Aderant, BillBlast, and eBilling platforms. The role reports to the Director of Financial Operations.Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of law firm billing experience and 3+ years of direct people management experience. Advanced, hands-on expertise with Aderant and BillBlast is required. Candidates must also have strong experience with eBilling platforms, superior communication skills, and the ability to manage high-volume operations under demanding deadlines. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration is preferred. The salary range for this position is $125,000–$140,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
