ACE: St. Catherine’s - Grant Systems & Data Specialist

Overview The Center for Academic Community Engagement at Siena College (ACE) recruits candidates to serve with community‑based organizations that work to alleviate poverty in the Capital District. You will have the opportunity to work on capacity‑building projects in education, health care, the environment, housing, criminal justice, and economic development. You will coordinate volunteer‑led projects, conduct research, write grants, and facilitate outreach. Based on your skills and interests, you will be matched with an organization for the year. You will be managed on‑site by a supervisor, mentored by 2 VISTA Leaders, and trained by an experienced VISTA team. You will attend Pre‑Service Orientation, On‑Site Orientation, and ongoing training for personal and professional growth. The cohort model provides community support to help you make the most of your service year experience. Member Duties Data Standardization: Audit existing grant and funding records, converting them into structured, standard formats aligned with funder requirements. Database Development: Build a dynamic program‑to‑grant database using external grant software and AI. Partner with leadership to link current needs data and establish robust tracking reports for all grant and LOI stages. Workflow Automation: Utilize management platforms and AI‑assisted workflows to automate eligibility tracking, grant deadlines, and reporting alerts. Compliance & Contract Tracking: Integrate impact data with fiscal documents for audit readiness; create a centralized system to track deliverables and generate automated compliance reports. Volunteer Infrastructure: Design a volunteer pipeline to expand grant‑writing capacity and create training materials for ongoing data maintenance.
