Assistant Project Manager

Job Title: Assistant Project Manager Location: Houston, Texas Position Type: Full-Time Reports to: Director of Construction Sendero Industries is a full-service civil contractor headquartered in Houston, Texas specializing in site preparation, earthwork, drainage and utilities for private and public projects throughout the Gulf Coast. Job Summary: The Assistant Project Manager will support our Project Managers in overseeing our construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the determined budget, timeline, and quality standards. You will be an essential part of the team and work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the project runs smoothly. Key Responsibilities Project Planning Assist in developing comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, and resource allocation. Collaborate with the Project Manager to define project goals, deliverables, and success criteria. Coordination and Communication Facilitate communication among project team members, stakeholders, and other relevant parties. Schedule and lead regular project meetings to review progress, address issues, and ensure alignment with project objectives. Resource Management Assist in resource allocation, ensuring that team members have the necessary tools and support to fulfill their roles. Monitor and track project resource utilization to optimize efficiency. Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, project schedules, and status reports. Prepare regular progress reports for project stakeholders and leadership. Risk Management Identify and assess potential risks to project success. Work with the Project Manager to develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans. Quality Control Monitor project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards. Collaborate with team members to address and rectify any deviations from project requirements. Budget Oversight Assist in managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring adherence to financial constraints. Report on budget status and variances for the Project Manager. Client Relations Maintain positive relationships with clients by addressing inquiries, providing updates, and ensuring client satisfaction. Serve as a point of contact for clients in the absence of the Project Manager.
