Covers traditional approaches to leadership that are valued and have application in contemporary times as well as current leadership issues and challenges associated with the following: tribal sovereignty, self-determination, governance, decision‑making, values, culture, and policy development and implementation. Includes study, analysis, and recognition of individual American Indian leaders. Qualifications A master’s degree or equivalent in American Indian Studies or related discipline Per the California State University’s Out‑of‑State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU‑related work outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment. Preferred qualifications: Higher Education teaching experience preferred.
