Food Service Assistant - Central Regional Hospital

Description of Work We are recruiting Food Service Assistants for Central Regional Hospital. These positions will be cross‑trained throughout Nutrition Services as appropriate. The primary purpose is to prepare and serve food from all stations within the Nutrition Services Department. Duties include preparing meals and snacks; checking patient trays for correct items, portions, and preferences; delivering to units, wards, or dining rooms; maintaining a clean and sanitized work area; and ensuring cooking utensils and trash are properly cleaned. This position is designated as mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events. Qualifications Education and/or experience in food service that is directly related to the job. Experience serving and/or preparing food in a commercial or institutional kitchen is preferred. Job Details Pay Grade: NC01 Salary Range: $31,200.00 – $48,810.00 Recruitment Range: $31,200.00 – $37,252.00 Shift: 8‑hour shifts – 5:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. or 10:15 a.m. – 7:15 p.m., including alternating weekends and holidays.
