Job Title Food Service Assistant (S) Grade NC01 Salary Range $31,200.00 - $46,991.00 Location Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (BMNTC) Job Description We are seeking a reliable and caring Food Service Assistant to join our dietary team. This role is vital in helping prepare and serve meals to the residents while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment by meeting and exceeding sanitation standards as outlined in the NC Food Code. Responsibilities Prepare and serve meals for residents. Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Meet and exceed sanitation standards as outlined in the NC Food Code. Follow oral and written instructions and accurately complete departmental records and documentation. Perform moderately heavy physical labor for extended periods of time. Preferred Skills and Knowledge Demonstrated knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking, and baking procedures. Basic knowledge of appropriate methods of cleaning and sanitizing equipment and small wares. Minimum Education and Experience Education and/or experience in food service that is directly related to the job and consistent with accepted practices of the trade. Additional Requirements This position is designated as Mandatory; must report or stay over during adverse weather events. Scheduling flexibility is required for weekends, holidays, special events, training/education, and to meet the needs of the facility.
