The Lumber Manufactory (TLM) is building the future of sustainable lumber with next-generation sawmill technology. We design and operate state-of-the-art modular sawmills that produce high-grade dimensional wood products with greater efficiency and less waste. Backed by leading investors including Cantos, Slow Ventures, Banter Capital, Humba Ventures, and Ravelin Capital.

We're hiring Machine Operators to run the saws, conveyors, and sorting equipment that turn logs into lumber at our New Albany mill. If you like running equipment and figuring out why something isn't working right, this is a good fit. Experience helps, but we train the right people.

What you'll do

• Operate sawmill machinery, including saws, conveyors, and sorting systems

• Feed and align logs, and adjust settings to keep production running smoothly

• Check logs and lumber for quality as they move through the line

• Handle routine upkeep and minor fixes, and report bigger issues to maintenance

• Follow safety procedures and lockout/tagout every time

What we're looking for

• Experience running industrial, manufacturing, or sawmill equipment is a plus

• Mechanical aptitude and a knack for troubleshooting

• Attention to detail and comfort in a fast-paced, physical environment

• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to the mill

• Able to pass a background check

Schedule and pay: Full-time. Multiple shifts available, including days. We'll talk through what works for you during your interview. Starting pay $16+/hr. Training and certification provided.

Location: On site at our mill in New Albany, Mississippi.
