Marketing Communications Intern

Role Description

This role supports how GACC South tells its story and communicates its value to members, clients, partners, and the broader transatlantic business community.

As Marketing Communications Intern, you will assist the Marketing Communications Manager and support both the Marketing Communications Manager and Marketing Communications Coordinator with:

• Content creation
• Event marketing
• Digital campaigns
• Website updates
• Member communications

You will help promote GACC South's key areas of work, including:

• Events
• Membership
• Consulting services
• Workforce development programs

This includes creating content around:

• Business events
• Member stories
• Market entry services
• Dual education
• Training programs
• Professional development initiatives

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, Public Relations, International Relations, Event Management, or a related field
• Strong writing and editing skills in English
• German language skills preferred
• Interest in international business, German-American relations, B2B communications, workforce development, or economic development
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Creative mindset and ability to turn information into clear, engaging content
• Comfortable working with business professionals, members, and partners
• Reliable, structured, and able to manage multiple tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools
• Willingness to occasionally support evening or weekend events
• Valid U.S. work authorization

Requirements

• First experience in marketing, communications, events, customer service, or project coordination (nice to have)
• Experience with newsletters, websites, LinkedIn, or event campaigns (nice to have)
• Familiarity with CRM, email marketing, social media scheduling, or event management tools (nice to have)
• Interest in photography, video, or visual storytelling (nice to have)
• German language skills (nice to have)
