Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of elementary students as a Special Education Teacher supporting resource classrooms for the upcoming school year. This full-time, contract opportunity runs from August 3, 2026, through May 26, 2027, providing you with a chance to work within a collaborative and supportive environment near Reserve, LA.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Special Education teaching certification for elementary grades required
Previous experience in elementary or resource room settings strongly preferred
Solid understanding of IEP process, implementation, and progress monitoring
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
Dedication to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment

What You’ll Do:

Provide specialized instruction to elementary resource students
Develop, modify, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Collaborate closely with general education staff, parents, and support personnel
Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation for student progress and compliance
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
Employ evidence-based interventions and differentiation to support student growth
