Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, particularly at the elementary level
• Skilled in developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Familiarity with differentiated instruction and positive behavioral interventions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted resource instruction and support for students with special needs
• Adapt and differentiate classroom materials to accommodate individual learning styles
• Conduct assessments and document student progress towards IEP goals
• Collaborate closely with general education staff, parents, and other professionals
• Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and professional development
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $34-40 on a W2 contract, with a commitment of 35 hours per week for the duration of the school year (August 3, 2026 – May 26, 2027).
