Key Qualifications:

• Valid Louisiana Special Education Educator Certificate (required)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in a resource or pull-out setting
• Strong understanding of IEP development and case management
• Ability to adapt instruction to varied learning styles and abilities
• Excellent communication skills with students, families, and colleagues

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver resource support services to students identified with special needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Conduct assessments, track progress, and modify interventions as necessary
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Provide direct instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Communicate proactively with parents and guardians regarding student progress
