Groundskeeper

Area GroundskeeperThe Area Groundskeeper is responsible for the overall upkeep of property grounds, and common area.Essential duties and responsibilities include:Keep all buildings and common areas free of debris and trash, including anywhere visible to students and parentsRepair fences, gates, walls, and walkwaysPaint fences and outbuildingsClean out drainage, ditches, and culvertsPerform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, etc.Make minor repairs on all maintenance equipmentNotify supervisor of hazardous conditions and safety issuesAssist with inclement weather needs (i.e. floods, snow, ice, etc.)Education/experience:High school diploma or equivalent requiredPrior grounds-keeping, landscaping or related work experience requiredCertified Pool Operator designation preferred (if applicable)Physical requirements:Ability to sit for long periods of timeAbility to use hands and fingersAbility to speak, see, and hearAbility to reach, bend, stoop, push, and pullAbility to lift up to 25 poundsAbility to walk and climb stairsAbility to think, concentrate, and communicateReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Work environment:The work is primarily conducted outside.
